Tom Scott – Owner
A 40-year veteran of Idaho broadcasting, Tom formed his own company at the start of the new century. After almost 14 years at KTVB as the top-billing electronic advertising executive in the state, Tom’s solid reputation in the industry set the table well for his success in the agency business. He is experienced in all facets of broadcasting, dating back to his first days as a radio and TV personality, and continuing with his ability to manage accounts with the integrity and reliability clients have come to expect.
Extensively involved in the community, Tom is a past president of the Boise Advertising Federation and has been the recipient of awards from the Idaho Press Club, Idaho State Broadcasters Association, Idaho Advertising Federation, and American Advertising Federation. He is a graduate of Boise State University with a BA in Communication.
Cynthia Gibson – Account Services Director
Cynthia has spent her entire career in the field of sales and marketing. She worked for ten years in the local television sales industry at both KBCI (now KBOI) and KIVI, managing accounts and procuring new business. Her experience also includes commercial production, script writing, and especially building strong, lasting relationships with her clients. Cynthia has also worked for a variety of companies including a local non-profit, Crucial Technology, and a start-up consulting firm. She brings a fresh perspective, energy, enthusiasm, and a breadth of knowledge to her position at Tom Scott Communication.
Cynthia received a BS in Political Science from Emory University and an MBA from Boise State University.
Julie Houston– Media Director
Julie joined Tom Scott Communication Shop in 2011 and has worked as a media director, planner and buyer for 22 years with a Boise-based advertising agency. She is a graduate of the Pepsi School of Media Buying. Her duties include media planning and placement for all major media, including television, radio, newspaper, magazine, online and outdoor. She is also responsible for media trafficking and analysis of client media schedules. Julie has extensive experience with all forms of clients from automotive to health care, political campaigns and public utilities to financial institutions. Prior to her involvement in the media industry, Julie served on active duty in the United States Air Force in the Intelligence Division.
